2026 Convention Webpage- where all the supporting documents will be appearing (Agenda, Rules, Constitution items, Resolutions and more).

The Convention shall be held for the purpose of:

1. Endorsement for House Districts 17B, 48A, and 48B
2. Endorsements for Senate Districts 48 and 17
3. Election of Delegates & Alternates to the Sixth Congressional District and State Conventions
4. Consideration of Resolutions to the Republican Party of Minnesota Platform
5. Consideration of updates to the Carver County Constitution.
6. Other business that comes before the Party

When you register in advance online you may indicate a desire to run for State and/or Congressional District Delegate.  This ensures that ballots for voting within the commissioner district can be printed up and reviewed.  Self nomination for delegate candidates will close at 9:30am at the convention.

The order of names on the respective ballots will be aligned with the order of registration.  Please note the CD6 Convention (May 2nd) and MN GOP Convention (May 29-30th) dates and attendance fees. 

There will be a 9 am start time to our program. Same day registration will close at 9:30 am, with no entry after.

Senator Eric Lucero will be our guest chair for the business of our convention.  

Registration is as follows, pre-registration on line must be received before midnight on Friday, February 27th.

Donations for convention are as follows (this covers the cost of our event):

*no charge for family members under voting age, but must be old enough to sit as guest as the voting floor is reserved for delegates.

Participation Discount - for delegates and alternates- if you are signed up to volunteer as an Election Judge on our list, or you volunteer to work at the convention (Use Sign-Up Genius)- you are eligible for a $20 discount.  These discounts need to be entered in our system, and recorded in advance of payment.  You must sign up to volunteer no later than Tuesday 2/24/2026 to qualify.

Carver County elects our 51 State and CD6 delegates in proportion within our commissioner district sub- caucuses.  We also elect 2x alternates to each convention.

The commissioner district delegate allotment is thus:

CD1 = 8

CD2 = 8

CD3 =11

CD4 =14

CD5 =10

2026 Convention attendees will be provided a pen and tote bag with their registration.  This helps you be ready to help us WIN MIN!
