OFFICIAL 2024 CD3 CONVENTION CALL

TO: DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES OF THE THIRD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Third Congressional District Republican Party of Minnesota, the Third Congressional District Executive Committee hereby officially calls for the 2024 annual convention to meet.

The Third Congressional District Convention shall be composed of the delegates and alternates elected at the 2024 conventions of Senate Districts from precincts lying within the boundaries of the Third Congressional District. Delegates and alternates from those precincts are hereby called to meet at:

Registration is open from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM
Convention convenes promptly at 11:00 AM

The Convention shall be held for the purpose of:

- Endorsing the Republican candidate for Congress in the 3^rd Congressional District
- Electing delegates and alternates to the Republican National Convention in July
- Electing a Presidential Elector from the 3^rd Congressional District
- Considering resolutions to propose amending the MN Republican Party Platform
- Considering a proposed amendment to the CD3 Constitution concerning Presidential Electors
- Transaction of any other business as may properly come before the convention

Starting April 21, please check the Convention tab on our website www.CD3mngop.com for information on Convention Agenda, Rules, Candidates, and proposed resolutions about amending the MN Republican Party Platform.

Registration.

Online pre-registration for Delegates and Alternates will be available for $40 until April 24, 2024. Please click HERE TO REGISTER.

Delegates and Alternates that miss that deadline may still register at the convention for $50.

Guest 18 or older may register online or at the door for a fee of $20.

The deadline for US Congressional candidates to notify CD3 of the intent to seek Republican endorsement at the CD3 Convention is Saturday, April 20. Notification must be provided by submitting the form at the bottom of the "About" page on the 3rd Congressional District Republicans webpage. This is a firm deadline. Names cannot be submitted at the Convention. The Nominations Committee will schedule mandatory interviews with candidates.

The deadline for applying to be a delegate or alternate at the Republican National Convention was published by the MN Republican Party as March 31. No further applications will be accepted.

The deadline for applying to be the Presidential Elector for the 3rd Congressional District will be Sunday, April 21 no later than 5:00 PM. This is a firm deadline. Names cannot be submitted at the Convention. Application must be made using the form at the bottom of the "About" page on the 3rd Congressional District Republicans website. Applicants are also asked to submit (1) a summary in bullet point of work done by the applicant for party units and/or candidates, and (2) a short essay of no more than 150 words on why the applicant believes they should be elected the Presidential Elector. These should be submitted to Chair Randy Sutter by email to randywacs@aol.com.

The Nominations Committee will schedule mandatory interviews with Presidential Elector candidates and the support material will be published online for review by convention delegates and alternates.
