American citizens have suffered as illegal aliens flooded our country, especially during the Biden Administration, when an estimated 11 million people (Homeland Security stat) from over 160 countries crossed our border. No one knows the exact number, because there were roughly 2 million "got aways" (CBP data) from 2021-2024 that were able to freely roam throughout the United States.
These illegal aliens were given aid, including free housing, free meals, and authorization to work in the U.S. The truth however, is that these things were not free; they were paid for by American taxpayers. Jobs were taken by many aliens that affected the lowest wage earners in America.
The Dignity Act is an attempt at correcting some of the problems that this mass invasion created, but it fails to do that. There are very few new provisions that are different from previous amnesty bills.
These differences will make very little significant impacts to the lives of Americans, compared to the concessions made that actually reward aliens who disregarded our laws when they came into the U.S.
