Why is it good to submit a comment?
– Your comment will be part of the public record and must be forwarded by the agency to the Standing Committees and the Commission.
– The agency must provide a written response to your comment in its submittal of the final regulation.
– The agency will ask you if you want notice of the final regulation submittal.
– It gives the Commission the opportunity to review your comment in relation to our statutory criteria.

The official notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin (published August 8, 2026) states that comments, suggestions, or objections must be received within 45 days of publication. The public comment period closes September 21, 2026.
Identify comments as pertaining to proposed rule making 10-242 (communicable and noncommunicable diseases)
