HB 300 amends the act of October 27, 1955 (P.L.744, No.222), known as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. While it aims to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ people against discrimination, it would affect the privacy and rights of females in public spaces.

According to PA Family, there are many harmful affects of this bill. Some examples are:

HB 300 would force women’s shelters to accept biological males.

Religious schools and ministries could face lawsuits for hiring practices.

Women and girls would have to accept biological males into female-only areas.

Creative businesses would be obligated to create work that may be against their personal beliefs.
