TO: Delegates and Alternates of the Second Congressional District

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republican Party of Minnesota and the
Constitution of the Second Congressional District Republican Party, Delegates and Alternates
residing within the boundaries of the Second Congressional District are called to a Republican Party Congressional District Convention to meet at:

McGuire Middle School (cafeteria)

Saturday, April 22, 2023

Registration will begin at 9:00 AM with convention commencing promptly at 10:00 AM. Registration will close at 11: AM

The registration fee of $20 will cover the cost of mailing the convention call, copying handouts, 
facility rental, and other convention expenses.

You may also register at the door with your $20 payment of cash or check. Registration ends at 11:00 AM.  Guest fee is $20, and guests must be accompanied by a delegate or alternate, kids under 18 are free.

The Convention shall be composed of the delegates and alternates who reside in CD2 and were elected by their BPOU conventions held in 2022 or vacancies filled in 2022. The convention shall be held for the purposes of:

1. Election of CD2 District Officers
2. Ratification of Delegates and Alternates to the State Central Committee, as elected at the BPOUs
3. Consideration of changes to the Second Congressional District Constitution (Proposed changes will be posted to our website for review and download after April 1st, 2023).
4. Transaction of any other such business as may properly come before the convention

*Copies of the rules and agenda of the convention will be found at CD2 website no later than April 1st, 2023

*Potential District officer candidates please be aware that you need to complete the questionnaire, contact the Nominations Committee Chair – Jeff Schuette at:(651) 283-6975 AND meet with the Committee prior to the convention. The nominations committee will meet at 9:00 AM on the day of the convention, or by appointment before. NO Nominations from the floor will be accepted.
